Do your employees take advantage of the Speed Sequence feature to quickly access commonly used commands in CU*BASE? Do you use the handy menu list at the left edge of every menu to quickly “click” between menus you use often? Do you remember to activate auto-security each morning to avoid having to enter that Employee ID and password over and over again all day long?
These helpful tools are made even more friendly with the “Workstation Favorites” feature.
Like similar features available in today's Internet browsers, CU*BASE GOLD Favorites let you display the menus and shortcuts you use the most—or just the ones to which you actually have access!
This screen can also be used to activate CU*BASE Branding which allows you to select the graphic that appears on the login screen, the graphic in the upper left hand corner of the menu screens, and the upper left hand corner graphic on selected CU*BASE screens. Activation of this feature is done with the “Use custom panel graphics” settings at the bottom of this screen. Interested in learning more about CU*BASE Branding? · When new menus and speed sequences are added, it may be necessary for your to refresh your Favorites to make sure the correct items are listed.
· Keep in mind that Favorites are stored on the PC workstation itself, by user ID If you share your workstation with someone else, you will each see your own Favorites after you log in. Since they are stored on the PC, not in CU*BASE, they will not “follow” you to a different workstation.
· As always, in order to use any Speed Sequence, access must be granted by your Security Officer, just like with menu commands. (This is done by your security officer via the MNMGMT menu.)
· Favorites were designed with today's faster, more powerful PCs in mind. If your PC is older or uses an older operating system, you may experience different behavior when you attempt to use Favorites. Contact a CU*BASE Systems representative if it's time to think about upgrading that PC!
When done making changes, be sure to click F5-Save to save and return to a CU*BASE menu.

Auto-security |
If you like auto-security but keep forgetting to activate it each morning, this option is for you. Choose Prompt and CU*BASE will automatically prompt you activate auto-security every time you log in to CU*BASE. · NOTE: After choosing Prompt and clicking Save Changes, you may immediately be asked to activate auto-security for the current session. |
Background texture |
Choose from one of the graphics in the drop-down list to replace the tan parchment with a different background on all CU*BASE screens. · Click Preview to see what the background looks like before you save. |
