CU*Answers, the cooperative CUSO headquartered in Grand Rapids, Michigan, reported that it has successfully started a very busy project calendar for core conversions during the second quarter of the calendar year. During the period from April 1st to June 30th, the CUSO will execute a total of eight core data processing deployments in five states. The projects include two incoming mergers and six new implementations of CU*BASE, the cooperative’s flagship core data processing suite.
“The second quarter of the calendar year is typically a big period for core conversion projects for us and 2022 in no exception,” said Scott Collins, Executive Vice President of National Sales and Marketplace Development for the CUSO. “Coming off a record year for us in 2021 – where our teams effectively executed a total of forty-eight projects – our teams were well-positioned for another busy year across the country. We treat each project with a mindset that it will be the last core conversion the credit union will ever go through, and the positive feedback we get from our new partners post-conversion tells us that we are hitting that mark. I couldn’t be prouder of our project teams!”
Collins continued, “During the second quarter, which is actually our third quarter from a fiscal standpoint, our teams will execute projects in Hawaii, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Ohio and Indiana. We kicked things off with our newest Hawaii owner – Kauai FCU – on April 1st and will wrap up the busy quarter in Indiana at Muncie FCU. Then we will shift our focus to the seven core projects we have booked for June through September.”
