Important Details for the New BizLink 247 and Biz Watch for ACH, Arriving 12/6/22

To all credit unions using BizLink 247:

Alongside the 22.12 CU*BASE Release that is slated to be released this weekend (12/4/2022) come changes to our Business Online Banking solution as well as to our Share Draft/Check Positive Pay solution.

At approximately 7:00 AM (EST) on 12/6/2022, all business/commercial members using BizLink 247 will see the new mobile-first/modularized design of BizLink 247.  All the hard work that your teams have been working on within CU*Publisher will then be visible to your business/commercial members as they navigate the new landscape.  We look forward to hearing your feedback and as always, if support is needed, feel free to reach out to the BizLink 247 support team at the email address below.

For credit unions that are currently using the Share Draft/Check Positive Pay solution, we will be removing the features of the software that block all ACH debits from posting to a member’s account on the morning of 12/6/2022.  This is because we are introducing our ACH Positive Pay solution (Biz Watch for ACH).  Biz Watch for ACH will be the toolkit that should be used if your credit union is interested in offering ACH Positive Pay services to your business/commercial members.  We would encourage all credit unions to review the members that are currently enrolled in the Share Draft/Check Positive Pay solution (Tool #1870) and review whether these members should be enrolled in the new Biz Watch for ACH service.  If you do not make any adjustments to the members that are currently configured to use the Share Draft/Check Positive Pay solution, ACH Debits will begin posting to these members on 12/6/2022.  (Remember that your configuration determines when debits are posted; many CUs do not post debits until the final run of the day, approx. 10:30 PM ET.  You can verify this via Tool #113: ACH Posting Controls.)

Please note that your credit union is ultimately responsible for ACH, regardless of the services provided to the business member.  Therefore, before you turn on these services for your business/commercial members, you should:

  1. Work with your legal counsel to ensure you have the proper agreements in place to limit your credit union’s liability, and
  2. Ensure you understand how the software settings and configurations impact your risk, especially the “maximum transaction” limits.

Good documentation and processes by your credit union will help manage your risk using this service.
