Privacy Policy Compliance for Google Play Apps & Updated Android App Version

If your financial institution has recently received an email from Google stating that your app is no longer compliant with Google Play Policies, it is likely due to your privacy policy being in a PDF format.  The PDF format is not accepted by Google at this time.

You will need to work with your website developer to have your privacy policy listed as text on your website instead.  After this has been completed, please reach out to IRSC as we will need to update the URL on the Google Play Console.

Below is an example of the email your credit union may receive if your privacy policy is currently presented in PDF format:

Additionally, all Android credit union apps need to be on version 4.8.4.  If your credit union is not currently using version 4.8.4, please contact us at irsc@cuanswers.com to work on this update.  To determine which version of the Android app your credit union is currently using, please refer to the mobile app information within the mobile app itself and click to view the internal support version.
