The following Client News item applies only to credit unions who received the associated email:
CU*Answers recently received a notice from the IRS that there are names and tax ID numbers for some of our client credit unions which do not currently match IRS records. In order to avoid being charged penalties, we are asking your credit union to submit an updated W-9 form to CU*Answers.
The form can be submitted to accounting@cuanswers.com. Don’t forget: All forms must be submitted by end of day on Monday October 21st. Please note that this form must include your credit union’s name exactly as it appears on any/all IRS documents and/or tax returns.
To ensure that your credit union’s information is correct before sending an updated form to CU*Answers, click here to visit the Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN) Matching page on the IRS website.
