CU*Answers is in the early stages of preparing for a new iSeries production environment which will support clients in Mountain, Pacific and Hawaii time zones. We are currently engaging with vendors to discuss the certification process. As such, we wanted to inform your credit union that vendors may reach out to you with questions in the near future.
Why is CU*Answers Investing in a New Production Environment?
A new designated production environment for our western clients will provide better performance for core processing.
Currently, high-availability rollover events and software releases occur at the same time for your credit union as they do for clients in the Eastern and Central time zones. This new production environment will allow for future rollover events and software deployments to occur in Pacific Time, which will ensure that your credit union is not inconvenienced by interruptions during regular business hours.
What Does Your Credit Union Need to Know?
There is no cost to your credit union – CU*Answers will be paying for the migration process.
This process will be a team effort and will involve many hours of programming and development on CU*Answers’ side. Currently, we are targeting our first credit union(s) to have their migration completed by the end of this year or early next year.
As we remain engaged with vendors, we will provide additional details after configuration and verification steps have been completed. Our next update will include a timeframe for when your credit union can expect to make the move over to the new production environment, along with what the move will look like.
